The person behind the site

Canadian Storage Information is written and maintained by Patrick Wood, a commercial real estate broker with JBW Commercial who specializes in the Canadian self storage industry. Patrick has spent more than a decade in Canadian commercial real estate and works with self storage owners, buyers, and developers across all ten provinces.

In 2026 Patrick was elected to the Board of Directors of the Canadian Self Storage Association (CSSA), the national association for the Canadian storage industry.

What this site is

An independent home for research and commentary on Canadian self storage: transaction analysis, market outlooks, province-by-province market reports, property assessment guidance, and field notes from industry conferences across Canada and the United States.
